Breeders & Packers Uruguay S.A. (BPU) announces its incorporation to NH Foods Group of Japan.

NH Foods Group, founded in 1942, is one of the leading global companies in food production, with 155 own farms, 2 own fish farms, 100 processing plants, 3 research centers and 361 logistic and sales points, with operations in about 100 locations in 18 countries and regions excluding Japan.   NH Foods Group produces fresh meat and marine products, with annual revenues of over USD 11.3 Bn.

The acquisition of 100% of the issued shares of BPU, the leading meat processing plant in Uruguay, and one of the most modern globally, represents an important step for NH Foods Group; a commitment to Uruguay, its productive quality and its access to the most demanding markets.

BPU, founded by Terence Johnson of Great Britain, operates since 2011 with the most modern technology and facilities, directly employing more than 700 people.  With this new stage, the company guarantees a continuation of its values and objectives, its continued investment activity, and a strategic alliance with Uruguay.
